dmaplay5.bas

The Famous DMAPLAY program. Handy for using wave files for sounds in your QB program. Not a lot a beginner could learn from it, although it is decently commented. An expert coder could analyze the methods used. My pal Toshihiro Horie has made DMAPLAY6 beta 2, which can be picked up at toshi's project page at toshi.tekscode.com.

bwsb.htm

Making a Basic GDM Player - Nekrophidius, one of the masters of BWSB, explains how to integrate music into any program using BWSB. This tutorial contains full source, with a line-by-line commentary, to create a GDM module player. Although the explanations could have been a bit more in-depth, the tutorial is excellent for any beginner-intermediate programmers.
