I'm not saying you should ban him either (yet). However, if this individual continues posting his spam - without breaking any "rules" - and eventually drives away most of the visitors to this site, you wouldn't consider this a bannable offence?

If I was to regularly spam this forum with links to my personal website (whatever the content) which clearly did not interest any of the regular forum users, you wouldn't ban me?

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but that's poor management. It's your job as an admin to consider these things and weigh up the pros and cons of making decisions. As I'm sure you know, these things are never black & white. Don't forget; rules are there to protect your existing (and seemingly loyal) members too.

Did you hear what happened to Flipcode.com? The site closed down for good recently because of two forum trolls. The forum admin refused to ban them and they eventually destroyed the community. Shame.

p.s. Where are the forum rules for this site?
